Design firm Paul Bernier Architecte has designed the Des Lauriers House, which is located in Bromont, Canada and it is set in a quiet and rural space. The home was formed as a place to slow down and reflect comprised of three simple gabled volumes.
This is paired with traditional materials and protected outdoor areas that encourage a natural sense of stillness. All of the elements of the home’s design are purposefully done to invite visitors and residents to step back and look out to enjoy the natural surroundings. Two volumes are the main residence and a grade with guest rooms — it features brick and stone exteriors. The smaller barn clad with cedar rounds out the trio.
