She’s putting the infidelity rumors to rest. Rachael Kirkconnell spoke out for the first time ever since the bombshell breakup with The Bachelor alum Matt James, and it looks like it’s over for good.
In a surprise Instagram post, Matt James announced that he split from Rachael Kirkconnell. He captioned a post featuring a picture of them together when they were on the show in 2021. “Father God, give Rachael and I strength to mend our broken hearts,” he wrote. “Give us a peace about this decision to end our relationship that transcends worldly understanding. Shower our friends and family with kindness and love to comfort us. And remind us that our Joy comes from you, Lord 💔.”

Fans speculated that the breakup was blindsided on Rachel’s part because she liked several comments alluding to the action. The couple was seen together eating at a restaurant in London just hours before the breakup post.
Did Matt James cheat on Rachael Kirkconnell?
Rachel Kirkconnell confirmed that Matt James didn’t cheat on her in an interview with TMZ. She also implied that they weren’t going to reconcile in the future, telling the gossip site, “No. Yeah, we’re out.”
She also told DeuxMoi that she’s not spilling any tea until she’s ready. “It’s nothing that you can prepare for. So, you just take it one day at a time,” she says of the breakup. “I think things will start to come out and I’ll speak about it whenever I’m ready, but for now, I’m just protecting my peace.” She’s scheduled to talk about her side of the story in a Call Her Daddy episode that will air on Tuesday, January 28, at 9 p.m.
The Bachelor and his winner briefly broke up after it was discovered that Rachael participated in an Antebellum plantation-themed party when she was in college. Rachael apologized for her racial insensitivity and the two reconciled. “It’s not Matt’s job to educate me,” she said. Children need to be educated about their Black history and what society will think of them … and like I said it’s not his job to educate me on that, so I think it’s good to take time to yourself and try and educate yourself on interracial relationships.”
