Rhone Signs Boston Celtics’ Jrue Holiday as Latest NBA Ambassador

Rhone has added another ambassador to its roster: two-time NBA champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Jrue Holiday of the Boston Celtics. He joins fellow NBA star Kevin Love who became part of the Rhone family last fall.

Holiday, who received the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award at the 2023 ESPYs, embodies the company’s commitment to mental and physical well-being and will work with Rhone to create awareness around mental fitness. Holiday cofounded the Jrue and Lauren Holiday Social Impact Fund with his wife Olympic gold medalist and soccer star Lauren Holiday to support underserved communities across the U.S. by empowering entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth.

As part of the deal, Rhone will make a donation to the fund to further its mission to positively impact more than 100 million lives.

“We’re thrilled to be welcoming Jrue to Rhone,” said Nate Checketts, chief executive officer of Rhone. “Jrue’s unwavering commitment to community and well-being perfectly aligns with Rhone’s mission. This partnership represents an exciting opportunity to deepen our connection with the NBA community and contribute to meaningful change through the JLH Fund.”

Jrue Holiday has overcome injuries over the course of his career and also helped his wife navigate a health scare when she was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in 2016 during her pregnancy of their daughter. Holiday will share his story on Rhone’s social media platforms in hopes of inspiring others to prioritize their mental and physical health.

“It’s an honor to partner with Rhone,” Holiday said. “Their commitment to community and their focus on inspiring others to be their best selves is truly unique in the apparel industry. I’m excited to work together to drive meaningful change.”

The partnership also builds on the company’s collaboration with the NBA. In December, it introduced licensed Commuter Shirts for the league’s 30 teams. At the upcoming NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco, Rhone will host an activation at NBA Crossover event from Friday to Sunday in the city’s Moscone Center to highlight physical and mental fitness.
