A coveted job has been filled: Miu Miu has appointed Silvia Onofri as CEO of the brand, its parent company, Prada Group, announced today. The house had been seeking a new CEO since Benedetta Petruzzo left to join Christian Dior Couture as managing director in October.
Onofri was brand president of VF Corp-owned outerwear brand Napapijri between January 2023 and January 2025, based in Switzerland. Her resumé also includes six years at Bulgari and 15 years at Bally, rising to the position of CEO EMEA and then chief commercial officer of global wholesale.
One of her tasks will be to maintain Miu Miu’s momentum and desirability — Miu Miu’s revenues rose 97 per cent to €854 million in the first nine months of 2024. Another will be to retain its talented team. Dario Vitale, who was design director of ready-to-wear, left in January. It’s not clear yet where he will land for his next act. Onofri herself is succeeding Petruzzo after she was poached by Dior.
Onofri’s appointment is effective 26 February. She will report to Prada Group CEO Andrea Guerra.
