He’s our hope and he’s back for more music! j-hope just released his first song after he was discharged from the military and “Sweet Dreams” is definitely one we’ll be jamming to for a long time.
In a press release, the song is described as j-hope and Miguel expressing “the desire to love and be loved.” “Sweet Dreams” is a stark contrast to what j-hope released with his previous album Hope on the Street—which leaned into more hip-hop. The latest single is heavy with pop R&B influence and details an intimate night with the love of your life.

The single release comes in between tour dates for his Hope on the Street tour and days before the North American leg. He’s also set to release more music in 2025. On what ARMY could expect to hear in the future, he told Weverse Magazine, “I just want to give them something fun, something that suits me, something I can pull off—something a little easier.” He continued, “Ultimately, I want to give them an album that reflects a more widely encompassing version of myself. I think it’s my job to keep being creative. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it’s my calling.”
