Bachelor Nation, it’s that time of year. The Bachelor Season 29 spoilers, including Grant’s winner are here, and according to Reality Steve, expect some twists and turns. Grant Ellis—a 31-year-old Day Trader from Newark, New Jersey, who was sent home in Week 6 of The Bachelorette Season 21 with Jenn Tran—was announced as the Season 29 Bachelor on Good Morning America in August 2024.
Grant is the second Black Bachelor after Season 25’s Matt James and sixth Black lead in Bachelor Nation history after Season 13 Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay, Season 16 Bachelorette Tayshia Adams, Season 18 Bachelorette Michelle Young and Season 20 Bachelorette Charity Lawson. “The core value to this show is that everybody deserves to find love, regardless of race, ethnicity, background, faith,” executive producer Claire Freeman told The Los Angeles Times after Grant’s Bachelor announcement. “The only way we can do that in a truly fulsome way is to have people on the show that reflect the country we live in.”
As for Grant’s ideal woman, the new Bachelor told Good Morning America: “I’m looking for a love that’s kind and understanding. Some qualities I’m looking for in a potential partner is somebody who’s adventurous, somebody who’s affectionate and somebody who’s loving.”
The Bachelor Season 29 spoilers and winner
Grant’s Bachelor season started filming around September 18, 2024—a week after Jenn’s Bachelorette season finale—finished filming around October 31, 2024. In an interview with Good Morning America in January 2025, Grant confirmed, like all Bachelor seasons, there was a fair amount of drama on his season. “Some drama is good. Not too much, but a little bit,” he said. “There’s a little bit of drama. That’s what happens when there’s emotions involved. I think we’ve come to a resolution.”
As for his finale, Grant teased his finale decision to Bustle. “One theme of the season is that the women knew how great they were. Everybody in the house got along. Everyone was smart, witty, and beautiful. They knew dating multiple people wasn’t normal, and it would be a hard decision for me,” he said. “Reassurance comes with time, and you have to prove that to somebody through affection and showing them that you’re thinking about them. So I don’t think it’ll be an issue, but if it is, it will heal over time.”
He also told the site that he didn’t have any regrets about the decisions he made on The Bachelor. “No regrets, only lessons. You have to make decisions in such a short time frame, and the process is sped up, but it’s right up my alley. I would rather have done it this way than the traditional route in the ‘real world,’” he said.
Grant also told Us Weekly in February 2025 about the different expectations for leads of color, which played a part in his indecision in the final two, as seen in The Bachelor trailer.
“There were external factors that played into me being hesitant. You don’t wanna hurt people. You have a lot of weight in terms of being a lead of a different ethnic group,” he said. “There’s a different level of pressure that comes with being a man of color in this role — and a different expectation. It leads to some added thinking that deserves a little extra time. There were some things that really weighed and were hard for me. But ultimately, you go with what makes you happy and you go with what you feel is gonna be the best decision for your future.”

Grant’s winner on The Bachelor Season 29
Image Credit: Disney/Matt Sayles. Juliana Pasquarosa, a 28-year-old Client Service Associate from Newton, Massachusetts, is the winner of The Bachelor Season 29, according to Reality Steve. Grant gave Juliana his final rose at the Final rose Ceremony in the finale in the Dominican Republic, which she accepted. Grant also proposed to Juliana and the two got engaged. Grant’s runner-up was Litia Garr, a 31-year-old Venture Capitalist from Soda Springs, Ohio.
In an interview with Bustle in January 2025, Grant confirmed that he was ready to get engaged if he met the right person, but it wasn’t his top priority. “My mentality was that if the connection was there, I was going to propose,” he said. “I haven’t been in lots of relationships. I’ve been in one long-term relationship, and after that ended, I waited for a while to see anybody. So I was ready and went into [the show] intentionally, but I also wanted to make things fun. I didn’t go in with the pressure of getting engaged. If things flow, they flow, and if they don’t, they don’t.”
For Grant’s engagement, it’s almost certain the ring was designed by Neil Lane, a celebrity jeweler, who has created engagement rings for The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise since 2008. In a 2016 interview with Entertainment Weekly, former host Chris Harrison revealed that Bachelor Nation couples have to stay together for a certain amount of time, otherwise they have to return the free engagement ring to Neil Lane. “There’s some rule, after a certain number of years, you get to keep it anyway,” he said. “But after months… it goes back.”
Lane told StyleCaster in 2016 that he doesn’t know where the rings go, but that he designs them with the hope that the couple stays together. “I make rings hoping that people stay together forever, but after they get the ring, I don’t have a say in it, and what happens after that, I don’t know,” he said. “Where the ring goes, I have to say, I don’t really know. I just say it goes to ring heaven.”

TaskMaster New Zealand
Image Credit: TVNZ It’s a spinoff of the British classic show Taskmaster, but we’ll argue that Taskmaster New Zealand is much funnier than the Brit version. Comedian guests gain points from the Taskmaster, Jeremy Wells, administered by his assistant, comedian Paul Williams. These kiwis surely know how to make a bizarre scenario into a fever dream.
